Walking Cradles Women's Viv Dress Pump,Navy,9 M US Review

I have 4 pair of 7N Walking Cradle shoes, 3 ballet slippers and one low-wedge-style sandal. They are divinely comfortable, beautiful leather, and very nice looking. My first couple of pairs came from a local fire-sale-type-outlet store, having odd everything. Once introduced, I ordered the same on Amazon and both were wonderful, as well as well priced for an expensive brand. I feel so sad, however, about this purchase, both because of incredibly higher price (NEVER in my life did I ever think I'd spend so much on a shoe!)and lack of fit/comfort.

My feet are difficult to fit, often somewhere between 7 and 7 1/2, needing narrow everywhere but in the toe, very very very hard to find. That being said, I have loved discovering Walking Cradles for their good fit and incredible comfort. This was my earlier experience. Unfortunately, I have not been as fortunate in Walking Cradle heeled dress shoes. They are labeled "Mark Lemp" as well as "Walking Cradles," so perhaps the manufacturer and/or place of origin is different from those of the flats I already own. My former 4 pair run roomy/comfortable in a 7N. In contrast, these Viv run exceptionally tight, totally unwearable for me, and this morning I printed the return labels. I have already ordered the one remaining 7 1/2 Narrow, in hopes they will work, and thought about waiting to write this review until they arrive. Nevertheless, I want to help others promptly who might be tempted to splurge on such expensive shoes, only to have the same problem.

At the same time, I also ordered the Walking cradles BING style. They, too, are very lovely shoes, with slightly lower and wider heels, but also rather dressy and classic. They are a tad tight, but I may in fact be able to wear them with hose once cooler weather comes to New England. They are not running as small as the Viv. Both Viv and Bing have rather long, but pointy toes. That may also impact the fit. My other Walking Cradles, those I have worn and enjoyed for over a year now, have slightly more rounded toes...heavenly comfort!

I do so hope this helps other shoppers. If I were to again chance ordering somewhat pointed-toe dress Walking Cradles, I would probably try the 7 1/2N rather than the 7N, and I suggest others consider a half-size higher as well. Then again, all shoes are so iffy in terms of fit, but for those of us with tricky sizes Amazon is such an opportunity! Sadly, I know few people who can just buy a given size, feeling incredible comfort in every shoe.
