I bought this shoe in the navy (very difficult to find good navy shoes) and was pleased it was dark enough to go with a lot of shades of blue clothing AND not so dark that one needs to be wearing black in order for the shoes to appear recognizably navy. It looks just lovely. The shoes are comfy. They are a great transition shoe - can be worn at least 3 seasons. My main complaint is that the leather or whatever they are made out of is cheap. After one day of wearing, there was a very deep and visible crease in the patent, so much so that I thought I'd somehow scratched them or something and then, upon closer examination, it became clear that it was just the crease from the shoe bending when I walk. And I did NOT walk miles in these shoes! The toe is also a bit scuffed on the tip (apparently one must be very careful going up stairs not to even skim the stair). I've experienced this before - cheap material is all I can say. I am disappointed.
