i just bought a pair of these in black patent, size 14. yes, i'm a guy. i own many many pair of 5 inch heels, and this is my first pair of 6 inch. after researching and reading all the reviews, i decided on these. yes, the heels are just shy of 6", even in this bigger size. i walk fine in 5" heels all day long, around the house, and these are not that much harder to walk in. just a little more pressure on the ankles, that's all. i've been wearing them all day today. (about 3 hours now). i will definately be getting a pair in red, but this time i'll go with size 13. the 14's are just a little big, so i added some "craft foam" into the toe area to compensate. it's definately going to be better to have them a little tight, than a little loose. i've been wearing heels for about 10 years now. love it!
