In my experience, Poetic Licence shoes are generally a 1/2 to a full size too large or they are true to size. They are never too small. These I find to be comfortably true to size when I tighten the strap all the way. There is even room in the toe box--and there is no room between my heel and the shoe, which is just as I like it.

This said, shoes tend to be true to size for me when they are too small for others. This is even true on very high heels where so many other people go a full size up. I buy my size and it fits. So if shoes that others find small tend to fit you true to size, these will as well.
