Softspots Women's Star Skimmer - 6.5 B - Bronze Review

I like these shoes a lot- they look great with a pair of brown slacks. The sole is really comfortable with lots of support, so I like that too. However, there are a few problems:

1- I always wear an 8N, so that's what I ordered and it's... a little tight. I think it will be okay once I break them in, but for now, it's not the roomiest situation, although this does not make them unwearable or cause a lot of pain.

2- Something that DOES cause a lot of pain is the seaming! I've always had problems with shoes like this causing blisters on the backs of my heels, so I went ahead and put some heel liners in to prevent that, but I did not notice the seams on the sides in front of the heel. They are rough and despite bandaids AND moleskin on my foot, by the end of the day (which was not THAT walk intensive!)I had raw spots on either side of each foot. It's been two days and they are still disgusting and haven't even scabbed over.

The moral of that story is that if you get these shoes, you may want to put a little moleskin on those seams to start with and save yourself some pain. I definitely plan on wearing them again (with moleskin on the shoe!) as soon as my feet are healed.
