Wow. It's been a while since I can remember a solid shoe purchase. Shipping was free so it took a while (about 2 weeks) but worth it not to have to pay for shipping. I was glad that Amazon Returns were free too because I'm not really sure about buying shoes online. Reading the reviews for this shoe was helpful. I did go up half a size from my usual 8.5 to 9 as the reviews read that the toe box ran small. The 9 was a perfect fit (especially with my wide feet). These are heels that I could wear ALL DAY. The craftsmanship of the shoe is exceptional (especially for Chinese-made nowadays) - the leather is a beautiful tan color and seemingly sturdy, I think this shoe will age well. I especially appreciate the rubberized sole (at the ball) for walking on slick surfaces and the "Active Air" technology is NO joke. The back of the heel was also comfortable the first time I tried it on, so I know I won't be developing any blisters or have it rubbed raw. Not only is this shoe comfortable, but absolutely stylish - best of both, usually you have to give up one for the other! No more - I'm going with Clark's as long as they continue with this overall quality. You get what you pay for, and these were worth it. I also bought the Emma Evant (looks like a Fisherman's Sandal with a low heel) based on my sister's assessment ("I could run in these"), which I will review in a different post. If there were more available in the tan color in 9, I'd buy another pair since this design and quality is hard to come buy and I'd like to purchase the shiny patent pair, too! The tans are super cute and add a pop of color with a black pantsuit and colorful blouse and are versatile enough to go from suit, dress/skirt to jeans. Really happy with this purchase.
