I fell in love with this shoe from the moment I saw it. It looks even better in person and was the perfect shade (pewter) to set off my rocker outfit. It is no lightweight of a shoe, it is very heavy to provide one with the anchor one needs to walk securely. The heel height does force your foot to arch steeply, the platform is not thick enough to accommodate a natural arch. I won't say that it's fully comfortable but we're not buying this shoe for comfort, but for its funkiness. It is moderately comfortable, all things considered.

My issue with the shoe is the workmanship, especially for the price. After wearing the shoe for 1.5 hrs, including some dancing, when I got home to put them away, I noticed something very distressing. The shoe part was coming away from the platform! I actually saw the glue coming undone, as well as the sole (around the arch area) pulling away from the bottom of the shoe. This was evident on both sides, on both shoes, to varying degrees. I was heartbroken to have to return the shoes but had hope that maybe I just had a bad pair. When I returned them to the store and explained the situation to the clerk, he basically indicated that shoes from this designer are not the best quality. So that ended my hopes of buying another pair of this shoe. I've never been a stickler for man-made materials vs leather, but maybe if this shoe had been made of leather, the outcome would have been different? In any event, I take care of my shoes and have never had this happen. Just consider, that all that glitters....
